IANTD Recreational CCR Diver

Course Overview

The IANTD Recreational CCR Diver course exposes divers to the world of rebreather diving within the recreational dive limits (21m/70ft).  Enjoy bubble-less scuba diving on a rebreather and get closer to the sea life and experience diving like you just can't do on open circuit scuba.  With the IANTD Recreational CCR Diver course, you don't need any scuba experience at all, as this is an entry level course, and the training will certify you as a recreational rebreather diver, even if you haven't done any scuba training before.

Course Duration:

This is a 3 day course with 5 dives.  This is the entry level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) for air diving.

The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving with CCR unit and to develop basic CCR diving skills to a maximum of -21m using air as a diluent. No decompression diving is allowed on this course.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age: 17 years
  • No further pre-requisites, can be as 1st entry diving level, no diving experience is necessary
